This week, our meeting was a joint meeting with the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce to kick-off Business Week in Lloydminster.  The current Chamber President, our own Rotarian Leana Ross, gave a great update on what's happening with the Chamber.

Hilights from Leana's presentation:

  • Proud to offer the Businesses the ‘Chamber Group Insurance Program’ which is one of the best small business programs in the country and owned by the CC across Canada.
  • CC continues to operate the Travel Alberta Centre under a contract with the Alberta Recreation & Tourism which provides an opportunity to promote the many attractions and properties in Lloydminster and area.
  • Continue to manage and administer Streetscapes Company in Partnership with the City. Looking for a new board chairman

One result of these meeting is the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and Saskatchewan will be visiting Lloydminster to learn more about the special challenges we have in providing health care in and around the community. Once they understand the dilemma hopefully they will be able to help us find solutions.
