I don't plan on bringing news from the City of Lloydminster too often, but given the uniqueness of this imitative, I figured I'd share it here as well. in the near futhre, I will do my best to have someone from this industry come in to our club and speak about this project. Further, knowing that not ever day is windy here in Lloydminster, I will be reaching out to our club to assist with propelling these turbines. We all certainly know a few individuals that are long winded and/or full of hot air. Enjoy the rest of your first day of April.
Above is a quick snapshot of our KIVA account and it is truly quite impressive..
Over the years, our club has deposited $9151.00 US dollars.
We have done 1565 loans to individuals in 67 of 81 countries that KIVA deals with.
We have lent out a total of $39,625.
A few years ago, I set up our account to “autolend” in increments of $25.00, which means that as the loans are paid back and our account gets a balance in it, it is automatically re-lent to the individuals / groups we specify.

The Border City Rotary club hosted another very successful Irish Pub night on Saturday. With just under 500 people in the room including party goers, sponsors, club members and volunteers, the club was thrilled with the attendance and support of the community. Lenny the leprechaun (aka Les Hanson) did a fabulous job MC'ing the evening of very green Irish fun which included a performance by the Jones studio of Highland Dance, the ever popular Riverdance competition, a variety of drinking games, Irish themed door prizes, all in between the rocking music sets of the Prairie Dogs! The Irish booze ran out early in the evening, the band played 'till 2 am and the party finally shutdown by 2:30...lets just say there was a lot of fun had in town on Saturday night! Winner of the work and leisure raffle was Jason Walker who is the proud owner of a new hot tub! Penny Aston went home with the Wagon of Booze. A huge thank you to all of our sponsors, patrons and volunteers for a Very successful night.
