Marya, Executive Director of the Lloydminster's Regional Business Accelerator, spoke with our Club about the Accelerator.
 
What is Regional Business Accelerator?
They are a business incubator, which launched in March 2012. 1 of 100 in Canada. They help Lloydminster and area's businesses break into the marketplace, and increase their success rate. The Business Accelerator has helped 58 companies to date, and currently working with 19. It has a board comprised of 10 members of influential business professionals. Their mission is: "To create a thriving, diverse, economic region". By supporting our entrepreneurs.
Why is it here?
Businesses who have support of business incubators have an 80% success rate, versus a 20% success rate without the support.
Every $1.00 put into a business incubator has been shown to generate $30.00 in tax dollars. And 84 % of the entrepreneurs stay in the community.
