Club 2 Minutes - June 3, 2013

The Tip Toe with the Caribou Committee presented a video that was put together with scenes from their trip to Yellowknife.

The first Billiard Night social at the Sticks was enjoyed by those who attended and $45.00 was raised for the Rotary KIVA account.

The RURAL URBAN meeting will be Monday evening June 10^th at Lower Shannon Farms @ 6:30 p.m.  (4 miles North and 3 ½ miles East)   There will be a tour of the facilities as hosted by John and Robin Acton so if you plan to attend the deadline date is Wednesday, June 5^th so please let Pat know. NO NOON MEETING

The Incoming Exchange Student is Marlon Silva from Brazil.  We are looking for host families for Marlon with the length being approximately 2 ½ months at a time.   Dates are Sept 3 – Nov 15^th /   Nov 16^th – Jan 31^st /  Feb 1^st – April 15^th / April 16^th to the end.  If you can be a host family please let Candace Odishaw know (Border City Club)  at giverny@hotmail.com or let Pat know and she can pass the message along.   Rotarians believe this is an important program but we need your help to make it a success.

PRESIDENT’S BBQ – We have moved this ahead one week.  Supper will be on the evening of June 17^th at the Exhibition followed by a tour of the new Habitat Facility.  We will be wanting replies to this ASAP.

EMPLOYER / EMPLOYEE MEETING:   Will be held June 24^th so bring your employee as a guest and listen to our guest speaker from Edmonton – Cossette Green.  Another meeting requiring your ASAP.  Remember, life is just one deadline after another!!
